Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers a basic room that is smaller than usual but comes with an outstanding view of Jerusalem. I paid US$70 more than my friend who booked the same room at a nearby hotel. I was on the verge of canceling my booking for two suites but reconsidered.
The hotel's rooms were large but in desperate need of freshening; they were clean but run down with issues like a non-functional TV remote and chipped walls. The service was mostly uncaring, though one staff member personally showed us alternative rooms. The location was good with the convenience of a gym and pool, but a considerable walk to the town center. The dining options were extensive but fell short of expectations.
The hotel is conveniently located near the central bus station and a variety of restaurants. The rooms appear clean at first glance but feel a bit dirty upon closer inspection. The service was a mix of responsive staff for special requests and some incompetence, with exception at the reception desk. Dining offers a wide selection of dishes but could be chaotic at times. The location is close to the market neighborhood but dark due to ongoing renovations.
I was pleasantly surprised by the luxurious custom woodwork in the rooms, which added a touch of elegance. However, the proximity to the service elevator made it noisy, and the lack of chairs and parking were a downside.
The hotel is conveniently located near the Jerusalem International Convention Center, within walking distance from the bus station and the tram, and quite close to Machne Yehuda Market. The rooms are tidy with a porch, but they are slightly worn out and small. The service was mixed, with employees being helpful with room issues but not particularly enthusiastic late at night. The dining experience offered a great variety of food but lacked cleanliness in tableware. Overall, the hotel requires urgent renovation but has a good location.
